    Bought them, after only a few uses the yellow ring holding the hose in broke. Oil got into the probe and is now visible on the screen. Really wanted these to be great, i like other Appion products, but these aren't it... especially for the cost.

      Those are separate. But I feel you. For the $25 to $40 price tag for 10 tiny pieces of rubber you'd think the package would include gaskets for their entire product line.

    Are these demonstrations not on live equipment? Do the core depressors need adjustment to keep the refrigerant from spraying?

    I bought the gauge kit and it kind of sucks.. 1500 Canadian for the kit.. everytime I plug the aux cable in for temp clamps or probes the sticker on the face of the gauges comes off because the hole isn’t big enough or something.. but why that’s a sticker is beyond me.. they don’t have the low loss fittings like the yellow jacket hoses.. the refrigerant will still spray all over the place if you don’t screw it on fast enough… which was pretty much the reason I bought it so I’m pretty disappointed in that. Also the last time I used the clamps the temperature was bouncing like 10 degrees back and forth so I don’t know how accurate those are. They don’t connect to mqhvac. The app is alright but it doesn’t show you different ways to diagnose the issue once you have everything plugged in. I wish I didn’t buy these.

    What is the purpose of this tool??? Am I missing something?? Does this remove the valve core or just push it in???

    • @Appiontools
      @Appiontools 2 місяці тому

      The Core Control Tool is designed to depress valve cores without removing them, making it ideal for compact systems where core removal may be impractical. It's also perfect for charging and metering refrigerant or for gauge isolation, as demonstrated in the video.

    Just a note about the locking pliers needed to loosen and tighten the piston, the width of the jaws can only be 6mm wide to fit in the groove of the piston where the pliers clamp. I had to grind down the sides of the jaws of the 5 inch curved jaw locking plies for the tool to fit without damaging the piston.

      @Appiontools 10 місяців тому

      For evacuation, we always recommend evacuating from the both high and low sides if possible because sometimes you may not be able to open the expansion valve whether it is electronic or thermal. And quite honestly you don't need to if you just pull a vacuum from both the high and low side ports. This all depends on the kind of Vacuum pump you are running, and also the system. If you are not using a TEZ8, It would be more efficient to just run a 1/2inch hose from each Valve core tool to a SPDY to your vacuum pump. If you are using a TEZ8, then you will not need to use a SPDY as the TEZ8 has multiple input ports for the hoses. Please email Support@Appioninc.com If you have any more questions or would like to dive deeper into this matter.

    Why do I have so much pressure escaping from hose once I unscrew from recover tank?

    • @Appiontools
      @Appiontools 10 місяців тому

      Step 1 Make sure the recovery tank is closed! lol That is just purging refrigerant from the hose. Please take a look at the EPA's guidelines on De minimis venting of refrigerants. This is OK to do. "Effective July 1, 1992, Section 608 of the Act prohibits individuals from intentionally venting ozone-depleting substances used as refrigerants (generally CFCs and HCFCs) into the atmosphere while maintaining, servicing, repairing, or disposing of air-conditioning or refrigeration equipment (appliances). Only four types of releases are permitted under the prohibition: 4. Small releases of refrigerant that result from purging hoses or from connecting or disconnecting hoses to charge or service appliances will not be considered violations of the prohibition on venting.

      The G5 Twin is a Recovery machine, If you want to pull vacuum, you will need to use a Vacuum pump. For trucks, you will have a to get adapters for the high and low side fittings as they most likely are not 1/4inch screw on style.
