Just picked mine up going to break her in tomorrow 😁
Bought them, after only a few uses the yellow ring holding the hose in broke. Oil got into the probe and is now visible on the screen. Really wanted these to be great, i like other Appion products, but these aren't it... especially for the cost.
We're sorry to hear about your experience with the gauges. You can reach out to the distributor where you purchased them or email support@appioninc.com directly for assistance.
Appion is great company. This is how every company should support their products…Thank you…
I was expecting seals to repair a leaking ball valve on the core removal tool. Why is this not part of this kit?
Those are separate. But I feel you. For the $25 to $40 price tag for 10 tiny pieces of rubber you'd think the package would include gaskets for their entire product line.
Are these demonstrations not on live equipment? Do the core depressors need adjustment to keep the refrigerant from spraying?
I bought the gauge kit and it kind of sucks.. 1500 Canadian for the kit.. everytime I plug the aux cable in for temp clamps or probes the sticker on the face of the gauges comes off because the hole isn’t big enough or something.. but why that’s a sticker is beyond me.. they don’t have the low loss fittings like the yellow jacket hoses.. the refrigerant will still spray all over the place if you don’t screw it on fast enough… which was pretty much the reason I bought it so I’m pretty disappointed in that. Also the last time I used the clamps the temperature was bouncing like 10 degrees back and forth so I don’t know how accurate those are. They don’t connect to mqhvac. The app is alright but it doesn’t show you different ways to diagnose the issue once you have everything plugged in. I wish I didn’t buy these.
We're so sorry to hear about your experience with the gauge kit. We appreciate your honest feedback and would like to help make it right. Please email support@appioninc.com with your order details, or reach out to the distributor where you purchased for further assistance.
I believe the screen protector is meant to be removed for use. I may try to custom cut a cell phone screen protector for the display area on my probes.
Have you even tried reaching out to appion? They are usually really good about taking care of there customers.
My pump fell over while running and destroyed 4 blades off the fan, whoops

Recovery for what. Here we just let it go. No worries
great thanks for providing this video
Just got my kit... 50/50 so far.. I really wanted to loved them
On the fence about these. Thinking about pulling the trigger. Can you give me a review in a nutshell?
Can you read microns accurately?
The PTC900 reads pressure, temperature, saturated temperature, superheat and subcool.
Is it normal for the angle fittings on the recovery machine to swivel like that when you pick up and move the machine?
Yes, the angled fittings are also swivel fittings. It is completely normal for them to move!
Ok great thanks! I saw the O-ring and thought that sealed it. I wanted to be sure I wasn't sucking air 😅
What is the purpose of this tool??? Am I missing something?? Does this remove the valve core or just push it in???
The Core Control Tool is designed to depress valve cores without removing them, making it ideal for compact systems where core removal may be impractical. It's also perfect for charging and metering refrigerant or for gauge isolation, as demonstrated in the video.
Cost ?
Cost varies per distributor. Here is the link to our distributor locator if you need to find the nearest one to you: appiontools.com/distributor-locator/
Can these gaskets be used for the appion charging tee?
hello, our 1/4 in. hose gaskets will work with the charging-t. Here is the link to our repair kit, available directly on our website: appiontools.com/kt11aa-r/
What’s the part number for the repair kit
The KTMV50 replaces all of the o-rings for the CCT. Here is the link to purchase on our website: appiontools.com/valve-core-removal-tool-and-core-control-tool-maintenance-kit/
Is there a list anywhere of the refrigerants included in the library?
The full list can be found on the product page under 'useful links' here: appiontools.com/PTC900
I currently have fieldpiece but after seeing these at the HVAC excellence, I am currently trying to convince the wife why I need new ones. Flexible neck is not working 😂😂😂
This video confirms ill be replacing brand new vs the time, risk of damage and material cost of repair.
You sound like a little crybaby 😂
Sir How about the quick removal tool how to use it ..
Appion a melhor
Awesome video bro👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I got the same pump. Where did you get the kit and what’s the part number? My model and serial number has worn off.
Thank you! The part number for this kit is #KTG520-R. You can buy the kit directly on our website at this link:appiontools.com/ktg520-r/
Straightforward, concise, non-superfluous. User testable; user serviceble.
Can I do a nitrogen pressure test with that product?
Definitely! Because of the ceramic-coated sensor, the PTC900 is compatible with almost all materials at up to 900 psi.
G5 and the Tez-8 sound like they are coming apart right out of the box. Too many o rings to leak on the tez-8, debris tube always loose from being in the truck. Should be a metal threaded tube with a window to the clear tube inside
Remove the core on the 1/4, then run the test. This one is apples and oranges.
Does the app work on tablet
Yes the app can be downloaded on a tablet or a cell phone.
This was helpful thank you
Best products on the market
Mine keeps leaking! I even bought a new one and that now leaks a few weeks later! I take meticulous care of them with regular cleaning
Shoot us a call or email and we make sure you are taken care of!
That is good information. Do you know any companies that would make such a gauge?
Our AV760 Vacuum gauge is full range as it will measure from atmosphere all the way down to 1 micron. No waiting for dashes or bars on the display to hit a certain micron before it starts reading.
You have made a 230V flavor of the unit?
Yes, we have 230V and 115V G5Twin and TEZ8. You can use our website to locate a distributor near you.

We do not have any authorized sellers on Amazon but, Trutechtools.com and Supplyhouse.com are some of our online vendors.
🤘🏻 And you guys didn’t disappoint, step up from the ION gauges but still using thermistor style temp clamps like the older design but improved functionality with quick temp changes. Don’t have to worry about Bluetooth cutting out while looking directly at the gauges screen with all the info you need not having to worry about staying connected onto the app or it crashing/phone dying. This what I’ve been waiting for!
Thanks for the awesome feedback! We're thrilled to hear you're loving the improved functionality. Stay tuned for more exciting updates! 🙌🏻😊
Just a note about the locking pliers needed to loosen and tighten the piston, the width of the jaws can only be 6mm wide to fit in the groove of the piston where the pliers clamp. I had to grind down the sides of the jaws of the 5 inch curved jaw locking plies for the tool to fit without damaging the piston.
would it be as efficient to use the speed y on the end of the valve core removal tool and run both hoses to the pump? or is two individual valve core tools with one dedicated hose better?

For evacuation, we always recommend evacuating from the both high and low sides if possible because sometimes you may not be able to open the expansion valve whether it is electronic or thermal. And quite honestly you don't need to if you just pull a vacuum from both the high and low side ports. This all depends on the kind of Vacuum pump you are running, and also the system. If you are not using a TEZ8, It would be more efficient to just run a 1/2inch hose from each Valve core tool to a SPDY to your vacuum pump. If you are using a TEZ8, then you will not need to use a SPDY as the TEZ8 has multiple input ports for the hoses. Please email Support@Appioninc.com If you have any more questions or would like to dive deeper into this matter.
Đã đặt hàng chưa rõ chất lượng ra sao. Chắc chắn đó là một sản phẩm tốt
That was wild
Why do I have so much pressure escaping from hose once I unscrew from recover tank?
Step 1 Make sure the recovery tank is closed! lol That is just purging refrigerant from the hose. Please take a look at the EPA's guidelines on De minimis venting of refrigerants. This is OK to do. "Effective July 1, 1992, Section 608 of the Act prohibits individuals from intentionally venting ozone-depleting substances used as refrigerants (generally CFCs and HCFCs) into the atmosphere while maintaining, servicing, repairing, or disposing of air-conditioning or refrigeration equipment (appliances). Only four types of releases are permitted under the prohibition: 4. Small releases of refrigerant that result from purging hoses or from connecting or disconnecting hoses to charge or service appliances will not be considered violations of the prohibition on venting.
Great video tutorial ❤ thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience 🇵🇭🫡
Can I use the C5 twin to just pull a vacuum on my truck ac system
The G5 Twin is a Recovery machine, If you want to pull vacuum, you will need to use a Vacuum pump. For trucks, you will have a to get adapters for the high and low side fittings as they most likely are not 1/4inch screw on style.
My pump is starting to sound really rough.
Hi Kevin, You can set up a repair on our website. If you have any questions please give us a call 303-937-1580. appiontools.com/repair-service/
No magnet?
yeah thats pretty much a deal breaker for me
I’m huge supporter of appion products. Double this probe and add refrigerant probes and clamps to the mix you got your self a system performance probe set. I’m curious and hope this is the starting point to the new line of appion wireless probe system. Edit. I am still using the ion probe sets with clamps still functioning well it’s been about 5 years.
We've got lots more coming out soon! Stay tuned!
@@AppiontoolsI just ordered two of the RHT100 from RSD. I’ll do a video on them in field use 🤘🏻 Also gotta say the CCT14 depressor tool has been very useful in the field for me.
@@hvacslayer2929 Great to hear! Thanks for the support.
Are you wearing a zoom recorder? Either way great audio and equally great content. Thank you.
Hi, I see this is rated to 20 microns. Is the CTEE14 also rated to 20 microns? Thanks
yes it is!
@Appiontools Awesome, just couldn't see that anywhere on the specs. Thanks.
En México donde las consigo
My supervisor been in the field for years and he is against vacuum set up involving core removal tool. I just bought a simple set up with two appion crt and two appion 3/8 hoses. Follow ACserviceTech instructions and was able to pull a vacuum within 30 min and held below 250 microns. Great product Appion and will continue to use your product in the future.
hard to teach a old dog new tricks lol
What's the secret to catching the Schrader... I've used this tool and had crushed gaskets. They don't grab and feel like a regular Schrader tool why?
